Here, red and white forms outlined in animated black dashes appear to dance against a prismatic colored background. While the forms have organic qualities, Kanemitsu has dispensed with any obvious reference to the natural world. Instead, color and gesture create an independent and compelling play of movement and abstraction, which would become the primary visual language of his later career.
