From the play, "Sanmon Gosan no Kiri", the scene occurs near the end of the play, just after Goemon reads the message contained on blood-soaked cloth that a white hawk brought to the balconey. The message was written by Sô Sokei, Goemon's real father, and explains Goemon's identity as his son, Sô Soyû.
