Moser’s eye for detail and ability as a storyteller are clearly evident in his illustrations for "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn", just as they are in "Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland". Moser tailors the style and sensibility of his wood engravings to the narrative of each author, always considering how best to immerse the reader in the story at hand. "Huckleberry Finn" includes sober portraits and haunting landscapes that ground the reader in Mark Twain’s depiction of the Deep South and underscore the harsh realities explored in the novel.
