Inscribed: Sampler is dated at end of number band: "1773" Signature/verse embroidered in dark green silk thread: "ANN ACKERS IS MY NAME IN THE/THIRTEENTH YEAR OF MY AGE W/ROTE THE SAME IF MY SKILL/HAD BEEN BETTER I WOULD HAVE MENDED EVERY LETTER"
