Portrait of the eldest son of Emperor Francis I of Austria; after a wax model by Santarelli in profile facing to left, half-length. Commissioned by Count Luigi Moncenigo, who dedicated the plate to Ferdinand's parents. According to Maskell and Halsey, Morghen was commissioned to engrave the entire plate himself, including the background.
