Based on Manet's painting, Berthe Morisot with a Bouquet of Violets, 1872 (Musée d'Orsay; Rouart and Wildenstein 179). Fisher states that this impression is "a rare before-the-letter proof of the first state, although there are some impressions where the letters are falsely masked."
