The round box top is tiered with decoration organized into four ascending bands with 8 motifs in the outer band including a double-bladed flaying knife, a flame, a pair of interlocked circles, a pair of lozenges, a cloud or lingzhi fungus, and a flower; the motifs of the inner bands unidentifiable; a coral finial in the uppermost tier.
