Although Charles Louis Boehme was noted for elegant classical revival work [see #11, #15 on view in this case], he also created objects in earlier styles during the Federal period. These canns exhibit the traditional pear-shaped body, cast scroll handle, and splayed foot that had been popular for the preceding 60 years.
