This exquisite example of the Sicán style is a ceramic masterpiece. The mold-made body has been carefully assembled and polished to a brilliant black surface patina. The hand-modeled handle bears carefully incised geometric patterns on which two opposing faces are set. One of the miniature heads bears a crescent-shaped headdress; the other, a small fez-like cap.
