Hinge-lidded, box-form, chest with two-tier stack of drawers, atop raised feet. Chest has three carved panels representing leaves and marigolds (often mistaken for sunflowers), with punchwork fields. Original hardware. Structurally original, including top and all four legs. Majority of applied ebonized spindles and mouldings are modern replacements, attached with contemporary brads.
