Inscribed: In lower margin, just below engraved surface,"J. Louvenet pinxit grave par Pierre Aveline d'apres dessin du Sr. Chaney fait sur le Tableau original de of J. Jouvenet qui est dans l'Eglise des Chartreux de Paris." In lower margin, three lines of inscription at left, and three at right, beginning "Et cum transfretasant, venerunt in terram Genesar.-----" and ending "ceux qui ie toucherent, surentgueris au/mesme instant." At bottom of lower margin, in center, "a Paris chez Jacques Ch reau rue St. Jacques au grand St. Reinx". At right, "En St. Mathieu Ch. XIV. V. 34,35,36."
