The jar has an unglazed footrim, ovoid body, and high neck covered by a rounded lid. The lid is decorated on top with a lotus spray and on the side with a band of pendant white-edged petals. The jar is decorated with four vertical panels defined by thin pale blue lines. Each panel contains a flowering tree peony which grows from a rocky ground. The shoulder is decorated with four lappets.
