Covered sugar bowl made by Samuel Williamson c. 1810-1813; part of a 6-piece coffee and tea service. Silver; raised, steamed, cast. Bulbous rectangular form, which bears discreet bands of milled gadrooned ornament at the rim and shoulder, with domed lid. A cast rectangular finial on the lid repeats the form of the body, which stands on a stepped, rectangular foot. Two squared silver strap handles rise high above the bowl.
