Creamer made by Samuel Williamson c. 1810-1813; part of a 6-piece coffee and tea service. Silver; raised, steamed, cast. Bulbous rectangular form, which bears discreet bands of milled gadrooned ornament at the rim and shoulder; stands upon a stepped, rectangular foot. The lip of the creamer is everted. A squared silver strap handle rises high above the body. An elegantly engraved monogram "TMS" on the side, probably stands for Thomas Marsh Smith.
