Small square sampler exquisitely worked in silk on linen (?) ground and featuring two figures identified as "Dutchman" and "Persian" dressed in appropriate clothing. These figures stand above and on either side of a table, upon which is a crown resting on a gold tablecloth with tassels. Below this is a very full floral bouquet in a fancy planter. Other floral designs and birds are seen throughout. Below the sampler is signed with initials "CC" and the date the sampler is finished is given in full "April the 20 1831". A very elaborate strawberry (?) border surrounds the sampler.
