Child's strip quilt composed of three unpieced strips and four pieced strips in "Flying Geese" pattern. The unpieced strips and borders are of plain beige fabric. Plain beige and plain red woven fabrics. Also prints with yellow ground with brown circles and red dots. Unusual amount of yellow colored fabric. Sewn and quilted by hand. One large plain cotton border of 4" around all 4 sides. Pencil marks under binding. Square corners and binding is white cotton attached in front, 3/8" wide - backing is brought around from back to front - and applied straight of grain. Quilting is 13 stitches per inch in white strips in diamonds counting both top and bottom. White cotton thread for quilting, pieced sections are 10 stitches per inch counting top and bottom in outline stitching, border is double diamonds quilting at 10 stitches per inch, counting top and bottom. Cotton batting. Backing is natural creme color and has some machine stitching on whole cloth. Has hanging strips on top and bottom.
