Brisé fan composed of sticks and guards of carved ivory depicting Chinese genre scenes. Sections are rounded at the top and held together with mother of pearl washer and metal rivet at the bottom. Top of sticks and guard are held in place by a narrow white silk ribbon woven through openings in the sticks about 1" down from the tip.
