Heart-Shaped Shard

1200-1299

Physical Qualities Stoneware with blue glaze with red splash, 7.1 cm. high
Credit Line Gift of Laurance P. and Isabel S. Roberts, Baltimore
Object Number 2000.350.1
After the application of a thick glaze, a copper pigment was brushed on the vessel before it was fired. The appeal of blue jun glazes, whether or not enhanced by red, may be appreciated by the number of shards which were collected and sometimes framed for display.
