The printed panel of plain woven cotton depicts a sailor with an anchor tattoo dancing with a native woman in a head wrap with large hoop earrings amongst large tropical leaves. Beside them is a bare-chested native man, wearing a straw hat and playing a concertina. In the background is a ship. The ground is cream or natural, block printed in brick red. The repeat is approximately 17'H x 16-1/8'W. The sides are selvages and the top and bottom are cut. The lower left corner has been cut away.
