This image was designed for "Voyage pittoresque", but never published in that series. It was exhibited at the Salon of 1835. "Duplicates" of three Isabey lithographs - Croix de Chaudesaigues, Auvergne; Eglise St. Jean Thiers, Auvergne; Le Cap Finistère et de l'Eglise Saint-Mathias - were traded in 1921 by MICA with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston for Jean-François Millet, La Baratteuse (1996.48.17785).
