Stag leaping through the air with hind legs slightly bent, and proper left foreleg straight, and proper right foreleg bent; head with elaborate antlers and tail held high. Stag's rib cage is resting on the leafy branches of a low-growing tree. The central part of the ground is a rocky formation that is surrounded by what appear to be tall grasses. Base: oval ground attached to an oval marble plinth.
