A collar composed of machine made lace motifs, apparently in imitation of Irish Crochet lace, including three dimensional motifs with open blossoms with stamen falling down from inside, large leaf designs and smaller five-petal blooms. The collar is square in front with the larger motifs hanging down at both outer corners. The reverse falls in a soft "V" shape with three dimensional motifs at the center back and on both shoulders. The sections are attached to the remains of a dress (which needs to be removed) with crudely cut edges. The individual sections appear to be chemical lace, but though made separately, these appear to have been joined together by hand. An inner dickie of netting has been added to cover the area of the chest from the neck seam to stand up. The front portion of the dickie is softly gathered and hangs over the front of the dickie and part of the lace itself. The color of both lace and dickie is off-white, some of which may be due to discoloration.
