Obverse: Robed female figure seated between 2 rectangular tablets dated 1825 and 1925. At left is a small nude male figure sdetching or drawing, looking up at her. At right is a painter's palette, capital (doric?) and a torso sculpture on top of that. Reverse: The Maryland Institute for the Promotion of the Mechanic Arts. To Commemorate the Hundredth Anniversary, 1825-1925; also shield of Maryland with laurel branches.
