Long rectangular shaped purse with gold-colored metal frame and chain strap featuring a Rococo Revival scene executed in mico-petit point. The image is of an interior with three seated ladies and a standing gentleman listening to a musical performance. A flutist stands in the center, while his accompanist plays the piano with the assistance of a young woman standing to his right. The embroidery is hand done in cotton threads on a cotton ground in multiple colors. The lining is silk.
