Allegory of the origin of drawing. Produced to serve as a headpiece for the octavo edition of Algarotti's complete works (Venice: Palese, 17 vols, 1791-4). Eleven small headpieces in total were made for this edition of the works of Algarotti: see Palmerini 145 to 157.
