Large scale print including images of double hemispheres surrounded by symbolic representations of the four “continents” including Asia, America, Europe, and Africa. Hemispheres are printed in colors as are two different elaborate cartouches with titles “GLOBE TERRESTRES” and “MAPPEMONDE”. Colors include dark grey-green, medium beige, dark grey, medium olive green, light green, medium brown, light olive green, very light green, red, orange-red, orange, gold, light gold, blue-green, light blue-green. Symbolic figures are printed in monochrome as if etched like a toile. The ground is off-white. Selvages are woven and cut.
