Possibly an Illustration to Lodge's 'Portraits' (8 volume edition, London 1821-34). Not in O'Donoghue. See BM 1927,0308.143. After the painting by Lely at Hampton Court RCIN 404514. The painting is part of the "Windsor Beauties", a famous collection of paintings by Sir Peter Lely, painted in the early to mid-1660s. The name stems from the original location of the collection, which was housed in the Queen's bedchamber in Windsor Castle. They can now be seen at Hampton Court Palace.
