Although Lely did paint a portrait of Mary Bagot that is among the "Windsor Beauties", this is not after that portrait (see 1984.81.4519 and 20). Still, the BM catalogs it as after a portrait by Lely, but does not state which one. See BM 1927,0308.151. Illustration to Lodge's 'Portraits' (8 volume edition, London 1821-34).
