In this mysterious dark interior, a figure opens the curtains to shed light upon a larger group of figures. Unlike other examples of programs in this installation in which the artist used his own handwritten text, here Vuillard included text typeset in two formal blocks. One side of the program lists information about the play, while the other side is an advertisement for La Revue encyclopédique Larousse, the great French encyclopedia.
