Thomas K. Woodard and Blanche Greenstein. Twentieth Century Quilts, 1900 -- 1950. NY: E.P. Dutton, 1988. Colour photograph on pp. 51, #44. "Grapevine." ca. 1930. 82" x 72". Private Collection. (have photograph in object file). Exactly the same as in BMA collection. "One factor contributing to the collectibility of softly hued pieces like this grapevine quilt is the resurgence of pastels as a popular decoraating scheme. This textile confection has unusual embroidered veins on the leaves and stuffed work grapes."
