Panel of sheer plain-woven polyester fabric measuring 30 feet long that has been hand folded and permanently pleated with heat (at 184 degrees Centigrade) into sharp, crisp angles imitating origami. Slits have been heat-cut into the fabric in regular intervals, thus creating sections of pleated streamers connected by slender "bridges" of fabric with openings in between. The textile is heat transfer dyed in shades of blue ranging from bright blue in the center with lavender highlighted areas to somewhat darker blue towards the outer edges. When opened, the fabric is three-dimensional. When released, it folds itself into a flat ribbon approximately 1" wide. The sides of the panel are selvages. The top and bottom edges are finished in sewn stitches.
