Tape measure made in the form of a beer stein with repouse decoration depicting figures and architectural elements in high relief, including a boy and a girl with a basket on one side, a man on horseback on the other. Silver-colored metal stein has a brass (?) bottom, which is used as the wind-in mechanism to rewind the tape. The handle and lid are decorated and the lid has an opening mechanism. The silk tape measure comes out of the front of the stein and has a metal bar across the end. Tape is marked in centimeters on one side and in inches on the other. The stein was apparently made in Austria for the English market.
