Rectangular strip in weft faced simple 1/1 weave with stylized birds and triangles in brown, gold, pink, white, and black on the short ends. The center features two rows of seven animals (monkeys?) in the same colors on a maroon background. The fragment is woven in a weft-faced simple 1/1 weave with a cotton warp and various colored wefts. Using a slit tapestry technique (no interlocking at color changes) with some eccentric wefts.
