After the 1872-77 oil painting by Edward Burne-Jones, now in the collection of the Lady Lever Art Gallery (accession number LL3121). The painting was first exhibited in 1877 at the opening exhibition of the Grosvenor Gallery in London. The etching by Lalauze was published in "L'Art," 1877, vol. X, p. 80.
