One of three prints of prisoners that was made for "The Disasters of War" but was not printed and bound with the other plates for this series; rather it was added at the end. This impression may be an early proof of the third state as there is only one vertical line that appears along the right side of the composition rather than the cluster of 3-4 lines that appear in the two other impressions of the third state in the Lucas Collection.
