Based on Manet's painting, The Gypsies, 1860 (cut-up, with three fragments existing; Rouart and Wildenstein 42-44). Printed in brown-black ink.
Most likely from the 1894 Dumont edition; according to Harris, "Dumont published an edition of 30 impressions of...30 plates, printed in bistre ink on blue-green laid papers."
