Based on Manet's painting, The Spanish Singer, 1860 (Metropolitan Musem; Rouart and Wildenstein 32). Printed in brown ink. Fisher describes the technique for this impression as "etching, roulette, bitten tone," but roulette cannot be indentified by this cataloguer (NS).
Most likely from the 1894 Dumont edition; according to Harris, "Dumont published an edition of 30 impressions of...30 plates, printed in bistre ink on blue-green laid papers."
