Remembered both as a printmaker and a painter, Lalanne
produced views of landscapes and cityscapes that are marked
by a distinct sensitivity to the subjects presented. He also made
prints after contemporary paintings for French art journals and
published an instructional manual on etching. The Lucas Collection
includes an extensive holding of works on paper by the artist.
