Four square needlewpoint hangings, each featuring the same design of triangles, circles, ovals, squares, etc. in multiple varied colors created by stitching colored synthetic yarns through a stiff cotton buckram backing. The geometric designs arranged with a square section in the center with other geometric designs placed around the center. Needlepoint in different colors of yarn create designs of circles, ovals, and other configurations around the central motifs. A sense of three dimensionality is achieved with shading of the designs, thus dividing each square into four quadrants with a lighter section, two medium dark sections and on dark section. The four square hangings are then arranged together so that the darker sections occur at the outside and the lighter areas occur inside of the larger square created by the joined hangings. Together, a central square design is created in the middle of the four joined panels, with circular needlpoint designs in the center an the four points at the center of each panel. The edges are finished with stitches around the cut buckram backing.
