The small curtain panel is constructed of a textured woven cotton, the subtle pattern being small interlocking squares, which is screen printed with an abstract design entitled 'Abstract-Fleura.' The design is printed in green, dark blue, grey, red, and chartreuse on a cream background, and consists of groups of very abstract shapes barely suggesting plants within intertwining meandering lines. These groups are set against a background of meandering lines printed in grey. The resulting pattern is a very orderly design. The vertical repeat is 14-1/2 in. high; the horizontal repeat is 31-1/4 in. wide. The top edge of the curtain is folded back and machine sewn to a piece of cotton muslin to create a hanging sleeve. The right selvage is folded 1-1/4' and hand sewn; the left edge is cut, double-folded and machine sewn. The bottom edge is cut, double-folded 1-3/4' and hand sewn. All machine stitching is with white cotton thread; the hand stitching is with heavy white cotton thread.
