A spread or cover composed of the embroidered borders of a wedding sheet that were removed from the blank center and joined together with hand stitches. The cover contains four widths of similar size, including two full length panels with embroidered corners, two half-length borders joined into one length and a fourth length of a completely different motifs. The ground is of plain woven linen. The embroidery is in multiple colors of silk thread, including dark blue, brick red, violet, dark green, orange or coral, white, cream, and black (much now lost). Three widths of the cover are embroidered in a series of large floral motifs with a large red bloom in center and two arched and serrated leaves on either side arranged vertically with smaller blooms at each corner. The fourth panel exhibits an oval shaped maroon red flower enclosing small bouquets of olive green, coral, and cream blooms, with a second floral design in taupe with red interiors filled with small bouquets of blue, white and green. Vines or foliage of green and yellow green join the large floral motifs and smaller flowers float in between. This section has a narrow serrated edge in red.
Stitches include herringbone, chain, and satin(?).
