The bolt of fabric is gold Chinese plain-woven silk with double dragon and flaming pearl roundels created by gauze technique. The roundels measure 8-1/2' in diameter and are arranged two across and three across (only halves of the outside roundels fit on three across). The bottom section of the fabric has 12 small woven roundels (3 front facing dragons, 9 dragon heads). All edges are selvages, sides and ends.
