Inscribed: Handwritten in ink on paper tag originally attached to textile at one: "71725" Printed folded paper tag with gold outline of kimono shape within which are numerous Japanese characters in green translated roughly as follows (using Google translate): Shibori/ Fabric for Haori/Fabric for Coat/100% silk warp/100% silk weft/Approximately 8.8 m. in length or more Printed in gold on ends of paper roll: Japanese character referring to length of fabric to make a Haori. (Both tags removed and placed in curatorial object file when rolled for storage.)
