Silver camp cup made by William Hollingshead, c. 1750. This small cup, meant to hold about two ounces of strong spirits or wine, is just over an inch and a half tall. Its simple, sleek form with straight, flared sides would have been easily stackable, and was likely part of a larger set of as many as twelve cups. The side in engrave 'Sam'l Thomas' in elegant script.

Inscribed: Engraved 'Sam'l Thomas'

Markings: scratched VW 189 stamped W.H.
