One of a pair of curtains constructed of hand-printed blended fabric of cotton warp and silk or rayon weft described commercially as shantung silk cloth or rayon 'shantung.' The design consists of realistically depicted tropical floral motifs of various orchids and foliage printed in greens, pink, red, maroon, black, yellow, greys, tan, brown, and white on a grey ground.
The printed horizontal repeat is 45"; the vertical repeat is impossible to measure because the image is larger than the piece of fabric (which is greater than 82" including fabric in hems at top and bottom).
The curtain is hemmed at the top and pinch pleated. The sides are turned under and machine sewn. The bottom is hemmed. The panel is lined in cotton.
