Moonstones and glass shimmer at the center of dandelions blooming on this clock and two vases. Alfred Daguet hand-hammered these designs into sheets of copper, added natural stones and glass imitations, and shaped the metal around a wooden form. Crafted in a workshop above one of the most stylish galleries in Paris, Siegfried Bing’s L’Art Nouveau, Daguet’s handmade works value individuality in an age increasingly interested in industrial reproduction.
