Ornamented with green crosses on black ground. Hole cut in one side of gourd; string attached to stem; additional ornamentation includes painted bands around aperture: red, yellow, green, white 'dashed lines' on black ground between red, yellow and green lines.
Donor obtained the object in Phoenix, AZ in 1997.
