Carved figure of a man (?) (indicated by mustache?) kneeling with both both legs tucked under him. Figure wears a parka; hem and edges of cuffs are clearly delineated with incised lines; hood hem delineated by stippling (ruff?); hood on head. Hands and lower garment stippled; digits, lower garment not delineated. Facial features clear but not detailed.
Mrs. Watchorn says they purchased this in Labrador c. 1956.

Inscribed: Label on bottom says 'GRENFELL/Hand Made in/ NEWFOUNDLAND/AND LABRADOR'
