Carved figure of a woman kneeling with both legs tucked under her. Figure wears a parka; hem and edges of cuffs, hood are clearly delineated with incised lines. Hood off head, hair delineated, hair in bun. Hands and lower garment stippled; digits, garment not delineated. Facial features clear but not detailed.
Mrs. Watchorn says they purchased this in Labrador c. 1956.

Inscribed: Label on bottom says 'GRENFELL/Hand Made in/ NEWFOUNDLAND/AND LABRADOR'
