Small square panel or square representing possibly one half loom width of weft-patterned, jacquard-woven fabric with centered design consisting of confronting peacocks above acanthus floral design at each corner surrounded by scrolling vines and foliate forms. Roundel with small seed-like shapes, possibly representing cut pomegranate, fills the center.
Cream colored plain-woven ground with supplementary wefts of green, red, gold, dark blue, and light blue crossing in bands and floating across the top as needed. Two warps, including main warp of heavy natural colored and secondary warp of thin dark (black or blue). Main weft of dark green, supplementary wefts of green, gold, blue, and red. The interaction of the supplementary threads, which are very fine and right, and the secondary warp is clearly visible on the surface.
Left edge is selvage. Right edge is cut. Top and bottom edges are cut.
